King Argus

Kuau Raja is a characteristic animal from West Sumatra which shows its beauty through hundreds of small round patterns, eye-shaped between its feathers when it is flapping its giant wings.

In 2017, the Head of the West Sumatra Communication and Information Office, Yelflin Luandri, said that Kuau Raja could predict earthquakes and even tsunamis. This is also written in the book Encyclopedia of Extinct Native Indonesian Animals. It is said that Kuau Raja can know that a big earthquake will  occur two days later.

November 26, 2013 the world conservation organization International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) issued a red list that included the kuau raja in Appendix II of CITES with the status of Near

Threatened or nearing extinction.

Mr. Getrest

The mascot of the event raised an image of a red ambulance light, wore a stencil shirt and wore a nurse's stamp as an identity as a true nurse. In accordance with the meaning of the ASF theme, namely improving the quality of hospital care to reduce death and disability in emergency cases.

The red color is taken from one of the colors in the triage system in the Emergency Room, which means the first priority patient is in a critical condition (life-threatening) so that he needs medical help as soon as possible. The stencil and stamp on the mascot are one of the nurse's identities while at the hospital.
